DESCRIPTION:The OCC Processing Center feels a little like the North Pole. T
ogether our group ensures boxes that have packed in the region are suitabl
e for shipping.\n\nIt takes about 60-90 minutes to get to the processing c
enter\, so we will leave the church at 12:30.  Carpooling is recommended.
When our shift ends at 6pm\, we will share a meal together to thank you f
or your support of this organization.\n\nIf you are interested in particip
ating\, you MUST let Amie know so she can send you the registration inform
ation. Pre-clearance is required. We have limited availability this year\,
so spots will fill up fast.\n\nA few other details from OCC:\n\nDRESS IN
LAYERS.  Please wear closed-toe shoes you will be comfortable standing i
n for long periods\, and warm\, layered\, casual clothes as the temperatur
e inside the warehouse can vary. This would be a great opportunity to wear
your ALC T-shirt.  =)\nLEAVE VALUABLES AT HOME. Headphones are not permi
tted in the Processing Center\, and we are not responsible for the damage
or loss of personal items left in common areas. Bags and coolers are subje
ct to being searched. \nBE FLEXIBLE. Due to the fast-paced environment of
the warehouse\, you may be asked to do different tasks. Some examples inc
lude removing financial contributions from the shoeboxes\, inspecting gift
s\, and putting shoeboxes in designated cartons. \nFEEL FREE TO TAKE BREA
KS AS NEEDED AND BRING FOOD. Use the vending machines and space to store y
our meals or snacks on-site. Ice is not provided\; however\, you may bring
your own coolers. All food and drinks must remain inside the break area.
Tobacco products are prohibited on the property.\nPRAY! Prayer is the fou
ndation for everything we do through Operation Christmas Child\, and our d
esire is for every detail of the project to be covered in prayer. We enco
urage you and your group to spend time in prayer as you prepare for your e
xperience at the Processing Center. There will also be opportunities to pr
ay during your scheduled time at the Processing Center. \n
